An Intimate Place

Creativity is a place to imagine, to dream, and brainstorm about the possibilities of giving birth to a concept that lives in one’s mind and seeing it from vision through to actual existence. As Michelangelo did with his many pieces of pure genius. From the paintings of the Sistine Chapel looming over their gawking spectators to the many sculptures that come to life in the prominent places of Rome; he had vision with magnificent detail. It’s been said that Michelangelo could look at a piece of marble and see his sculpture clearly with defined lines and swift soft curvature.

I imagine this is how God Our Father saw us. As He weaved the strands of DNA from your parents an intimate moment took place. Your set of eyes, your head of hair, the pigment in your skin, the anatomy of your body; was swiftly, carefully, formed like that of a sculptor or led by the paint brush of a divine God who sees the beauty in everyone He makes.

The intimate place of your mother’s womb is a secure, safe, guarded, and most private home to form the most engaging creativeness to ever come to life. You are exactly the way He made you – Perfect Beauty. He invited you into this world to share yourself, your God given gifts, and to have a relationship with Him for an eternity! Which means with Him, God Our Father, and as Jesus the Son of God said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

WE WILL LIVE FOREVER!

“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13

Vast Numbers

When I look at all the snow that has fallen in this recent blizzard, one thing comes to mind. God makes Snowflakes! And LOTS of them! All these snowflakes were produced to star in this blizzard!

A snowflake starts to form as a drop of water attaching itself to a piece of wandering dust in the sky which then becomes frozen. And a crystal is born. During its flight to the ground six arms form, also called crystal dendrites. These dendrites free fall in the air and take shape based on the atmosphere – the gases released while in flight to make a snowflake. The lacey designs are staggering especially since not a single snowflake is alike.

So, after seeing eleven inches of snow atop the ¼ acre we live on? My mind was blown by God’s creation in vast numbers! All these snowflakes covered our property! Thinking of vast numbers, a verse came to mind, like the granules of sand on the earth as described in Genesis, “I will multiply your descendants until they become as numerous as the sands along the seashore—too many to count.” When looking over our backyard the imagery of each snowflake laying peacefully recalled every granule of sand that trims our beaches. God did all of this! What do sand and snowflakes have in common? They are UNIQUE.

When examined under a microscope every granule of sand’s composition is made differently. The granule’s formation is based on the organic material it’s made of – rock; the temperature it occupies while in the making, and its travels form their shapes.

As God has multiplied the sand and the snow He has done so with US. We occupy the earth in vast numbers! And our evolvement is special, He made us with thoughts, feelings, ideas, emotions, and interaction.  We can exchange our humanness with each other and with Him. Our commonality with sand and snowflakes is OUR UNIQUENESS!

As expressive as snowflakes and sand are, with an individuality that cannot be duplicated, this is whom God called us to be. Let’s be UNIQUE with GOD’s reverence in mind. Let’s share the beauty of His imagery in ourselves with others.
